Classes
Art and pottery classes at The Blooming Paintbrush are a combination of fun and learning. All
learning happens through doing hands-on projects. Highly qualified and well experienced teacher
gets fully involved in student’s learning process – working side-by-side with the student or advising
her on finer details of art concepts and tricks-of-the-trade. Classes are offered for kids as well for
adults. Class sizes are kept small in order to provide individualized attention. Projects are often
customized for each student depending on his or her skill-level and areas of interest.

In our classes, care is taken to ensure that the student does not get frustrated while trying to learn
new concepts and techniques. Step-by-step development of essential elements of art, e.g., form
(shape), size (mass, scale), composition (placement, relationships), perspectives, design (theme,
pattern), color concepts (value, complimentary shades, tonal variations), are covered as part of the
formal learning. Study of masterpieces as well museum collections augment learning from hands-
on projects. A balanced approach ensures adequate learning of formal disciplines of art and
explorations of student’s own creative ideas.
